bsdBased.Net is a public-access Unix system — a pubnix — running on BSD. Anyone with curiosity and a basic understanding of the command line is welcome to apply for a shell account.
What you get
A home directory, the possibility to publish your own website, gemini capsule or gopherhole, access to compilers, interpreters, IRC clients and the possibility to run your own bots, screen/tmux, email, and a community of like-minded people who still believe the terminal often is the right tool for most jobs.
Philosophy
We run BSD because we value simplicity, correctness, and good documentation. We believe in the original spirit of shared computing: a machine that belongs to many people at once, where you learn by poking around and asking questions.
